Elm Park Labs Introduces New AptiveXR ECMO Modules at 36th Annual ELSO Conference

September 2025 – Elm Park Labs returned to the Extracorporeal Life Support Organization (ELSO) Conference this year to demonstrate the latest advancements in its virtual reality training platform, AptiveXR ECMO.

The 36th annual event, held in Washington, D.C., brought together medical professionals and medtech experts from across the nation to explore new innovations in ECLS and ECMO education.

Following last year’s successful debut, Elm Park Labs introduced new AptiveXR ECMO modules. These additions to the AptiveXR virtual training catalog span the entire ECLS process, from equipment-specific system overview, circuit setup and priming, and possible complications such as motor and gas source failure. Each module was designed in collaboration with real perfusionists and mirrors the pace and pressure of real-world care.

AptiveXR ECMO continues to provide a flexible, cost-effective complement to traditional clinical education. Its expanding catalog of on-demand experiences empowers healthcare professionals to train for complex, high-stakes medical scenarios within safe, low-risk virtual environments.

Elm Park Labs remains dedicated to transforming healthcare education through extended reality (XR) technology. The team looks forward to continued collaboration with our healthcare and perfusionist partners to advance the next generation of simulation-based education.
